Transformations of Rimski Vrelec in the 20th century
1947 - 1962
After the end of World War II, the state nationalized Rimski vrelec, and in 1949, its value was estimated at 2,483,019 dinars. Between 1947 and 1953, young people studying at the Metallurgical Industrial School resided in its premises. From 1954 to 1962, it served as a holiday home for employees of the Uljanik shipyard in Pula. Subsequently, its management was transferred to Ljubljana Transport, later known as Golfturist.
From 1945–1953, Rimski vrelec was home to students of the Metallurgical School in Ravne na Koroškem; KPM.
1970 - 2000
In the 1970s, Rimski vrelec was managed by Železarna Ravne, which had ambitious plans for expanding the tourist complex. In the 1990s, following the denationalization process of nationalized property, ownership was transferred to the Municipality of Ravne na Koroškem. In 2020, the municipality sold the tourist complex to Rimski vrelec d.o.o., owned by Marjana Kaker and Branko Dervodel.
