Official Water Analyses
1877
The first official water analysis was carried out in 1877 by Professor Dr. Josef Mitteregger from Klagenfurt. It confirmed that it is a hydrogen carbonate alpine acidic spring with a high content of free carbonic acid.
Mitteregger’s water analysis results from 1877, published in Carinthia in 1893.
1892
The second analysis was performed in 1892 in the chemical-microscopic laboratory by Dr. Max and Dr. Adolf Jolles. In the water samples, they detected high concentrations of sodium and magnesium hydrogen carbonate, as well as an exceptional amount of free carbonic acid, which gave the spring a pleasant, refreshing taste. Due to its exceptional purity, stability, and favorable organoleptic properties, the water was valued as drinking water and also for therapeutic baths.
Jolles’ water analysis results from 1892, published in Carinthia in 1893.
